Bridging The Gaps is a collaborative initiative between multiple organizations. We are pulling together while also focusing on different aspects of the current crisis in Western North Carolina. We encourage you to financially support these different areas of focus by donating to our participating organizations.

Donate Funds

The YMI Cultural Center is our primary site, where we are receiving and storing supplies for distribution to those most in need. YMI is currently collecting contributions so that they can acquire any items or materials that are needed but have not been donated.

The People’s Place has taken on a coordination and development role to ensure that our efforts are well organized and effective. The People’s Place is currently raising money to ensure that community organizers are identified, trained, and supported so that the resources we are collecting and distributing can reach the most marginalized members of each community.

OURavl is focused on identifying both short and long-term support needs for local communities. They are currently raising funds to support community engagement around the current crisis, while also developing the potential to organize and advocate for community members who have already lost their jobs or homes, as well as those at risk of losing them.

Our team is actively working to support the community during this challenging time. We are collecting essential items to distribute where they are needed most.
